Grab-Bag Book Haul

Before Christmas, I bought several grab-bag/mystery book bundles from various bookstores and Etsy shops. A few were major disappointments–I do not recommend the Half-Price Books grab bags–but I wound up with several awesome choices, including the ones in this photo. It’s obviously a gamble, but kind of fun to see what booksellers pick within certain parameters.

I have never really read any of the Sherlock Holmes books except for, I think, The Hound of the Baskervilles, which I read in high school. I’m excited to dive into more in The Return of Sherlock Holmes. I have read Mansfield Park, but not in ages, and I didn’t have a decent copy. I’m sure I’ll learn some good history from Firebrands: Activists You Didn’t Learn About in School and from Heloise and Abelard: A New Biography. Have you ever ordered a book grab-bag or mystery bundle? How did it work out?
